Election
In accordance with the credit union’s bylaws, the nominating committee has nominated one individual for each of the one (1) vacancy on the board of directors, to serve a three-year term. The nominee has agreed to serve if elected:
Ben Phillips is the Operations Manager for RP&L's Parallax Department. With more than 20 years of experience at RP&L, he has played a key role in expanding the organization's telecommunications capabilities, providing leadership in fiber-optic communications, networking, and technology initiatives. Ben is committed to building strong relationships and delivering innovative solutions. Outside of his work with Parallax, Ben enjoys fishing, photography, and spending time with his wife, Rachael and daughters Reagan and Kay.
The elections will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor when there is only one nomination for each position to be filled. Nominations for vacancies may also be made by petition by a minimum of 20 members and a maximum of 500 members. Each nominee by petition must submit a statement of qualifications and biographical data to the attention of the nominating committee which is appointed by the board of directors. A signed certificate from the nominee(s) stating that they are agreeable to nomination and will serve if elected is also required. Please submit all nominations by September 14, 2026 to: HCPFCU Nominating Committee, Attn: Darrell Rawlings, PO BOX 1525 , Richmond, IN 47375.
All persons nominated by either the nominating committee or by petition must be placed before the members. When only one member is nominated for each position to be filled, the chair may declare each nominee elected by general consent or acclamation at the annual meeting. In the event there is more than one nomination for a position, the election will be determined by majority vote via electronic polling.
